Post by THE TUBA »

Hola,

Until the on-demand stream comes online, this might be able to satisfy some thirsty tuba fans.

Very nice - thanks!

Interesting the way Baadsvik has his left arm over the top bow. I could not decide looking at the video if he was operating anything with his left hand, or just holding the tuba. Can anyone who was there say?

I was surprised that he was sitting with his bell pointing straight at the conductor. I remember once starting a solo in that position and after couple bars the conductor stopped the band and asked if I could move to the other side as I was deafening him!

I could be wrong, but I didn't see him move anything with his left arm, and he plays very, very well in tune. He's on a completely different level as a musician.
