http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqZEKtO-8pc their version of "Teddy Bear's Picnic" with two tubas and Supranino (sp.?) Trumpet. And Vocal. From sometime in 1988, maybe on their OZ tour?
Also these - although you would not guess by the titles:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD260MPEs1Q are more vocal focus, but still good - from some Japanese TV show.
(I have no idea why these did not turn up the last 10 times I searched Youtube for anything by that group...)

Re: FINALLY! Tracked down performances by "The Brass Band"
Thanks Dave. They were funny cats. I know of at least two albums they released in the 80's. I have one recorded in LA, but have been searching for years for their live album from Australia. If you ever run across it, could you let me know? Great send up of Poet and Peasant (their "Suppe of the Day").

Their Oz tour album is "Just a Tiny Boo-Boo" and I see used copies available on eBay and such from time to time (one on Amazon right now for $20.)
I have Live And In Debt
(jericho rock, b.b.p.i., we be beige, los brasso banditos, orange blossom special, zampa verture, the impossible slime, bolero)
and a cassette "storybook" but I didn't know of any other albums - do you remember the names of the LPs? I have heard their "Rocky Meets Moose" single, but I don't have a copy.
http://www.musicstack.com/records-cds/brass+band has many listings, but sort of pricy!

Dave,
Finally found the one LP I own by these crazies. It is called "Live and In Debt" and was recorded at the Westwood Playhouse in LA in late '86 or early '87. It was released in 1987 by Audiophile records AR-8705. I have to admit that I have NEVER listened to this. I found it at a Goodwill Store. It is in suprisingly good condition.

Yeah, I'm a little slow on the uptake Dave. The clip is PRICELESS. I wonder who these guys are and what they might be doing today. Thanks for the memories.

There is not much! I have tried to find any of the musician with only a little luck - they seem to be in a witness protection program or somethingChuck Jackson wrote:Yeah, I'm a little slow on the uptake Dave.
