Early Mickey Mouse image with Sousaphone

Post by Frank Byrne »

Found this image on a card on display at the Hallmark Museum in Kansas City and thought TubeNetters might enjoy seeing it.

Had to take the photo with my phone so apologies for the grainy image.

What is on the rest of the image? I have a different card with Mickey playing a Sousaphone, and there are some early tuba and helicon ceramic ones I have posted over on the clipart tuba kitsch collection.

BTW,this just popped up when I did a Google - not related to the question but interesting! There is a cartoon of Earl McKee of the High Sierra Jazz Band playing something like this, maybe Howard Miyata has a copy...

Thanks. I now have a fun new desktop background picture.

This was the entire image I could see. The card was mounted in a display case.

Just watch out for the Disney Copyright Police - they don't call the latest round of laws the Mickey Mouse Eternal Copyright for nothin' !
