The clip shows how horns are made in this man's shop. Interesting for those who enjoy hearing about such things.

Any German speakers able to say who this man is and where he makes his horns?

All in German but I still found it interesting.

@Big Ben:

The maker of this beast is Hartmut Geilert. I believe he is an independent maker in Klingenthal. Says so on the bell at 8:15 on the vid Dante posted.

I have an early/mid 1990s B&S foldout & 2 booklets from Custom Music. In them, Hartmut Geilert is listed as the master tuba maker at B&S. So, apparently, he worked there a number of years ago...

I agree that this enormous tuba sounds very playable & agile in the right hands.
I mean, for what it is, it sounds good -- much clearer than I would have thought. The player even gets some edge in the sound at times. You can tell from the slight 'wobble' on certain notes that it is difficult to play/center. But whaddya expect from a huge subcontrabass tuba? At least it's playable!
