I'm Confused

I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I'm certain I'm not the only one. I watched a bunch of people get up and leave during a performance of the Soulful Hallelujia Sunday night. Guess they don't like soulful Handel. I'm not so sure I do either, or Baroque calypso. Maybe we need to leave well enough alone.

Here is some more funky Joy to the world and Hallelujah Chorus and me bopping (as always) and making some funny faces. Can't say I get it either... But the Baptists LOVED it and even stood when the Handel started, to each his own.

Enjoy:

I asked a couple of my pro buddies who were on my gig what they thought about the soulful Handel. One thought for a moment and then replied that he didn't really care for it but would play whatever the conductor put on the stand. The other guy laughed and said yeah, it all pays the same.

Well...... that's one way to do it......... and say what one will about the re-arrangement, it's quite well performed.

And we can hope that someone hearing this for the first time is curious enough to check out the original version.
