Re: Star Trek Into Darkness
Speaking of the soundtrack, my family and I viewed Into Darkness in the only Chicago-area theater equipped with the new Dolby Atmos sound system...and in 3D.
As a Star Trek fan (not at Trekker/Trekkie), I really liked the movie for its content; it respects a lot of the facets of the original shows and films while taking some liberties with the "different time track" (I can't think of the correct term). The sound/special effects just added a viewing/listening experience that could not be duplicated anywhere else. Excellent score, ending with the original Alexander Courage theme. Very enjoyable.
Someone will ask, so I might as well: Who played tuba and other related instruments?
