I had a fall like that playing a funeral parade - caught a foot in a small pothole and fell forward. I was able to keep playing (somewhat) but I had about $400 damage to the bell, 2nd valve pipe and gooseneck. Also some abrasions on my leg and a strained thumb from it being pulled by the thumb ring! Not fun...

Nothing like a big Sousaphone crashing to the earth, to get the publics' attention. It's tuba abuse.

Just a silly TV ad with impossible physics. At least the sousa was already dented up
