Hariett and I traveled overseas for a few years-mostly sailing- but we knew that short trips would be the norm for the rest of our days.
We go only a few miles from home and get a change of scenery, new things to do and meet cool people.
Going back to a place once traveled with our much advanced age and travel experience can be more fun than the first time if we take our naps.
Thanks for the vid, Schlepp. You guys know how to have fun.

Yet one of the most enjoyable is only a nine hour drive away and a lot cheaper than some of the other trips we've made. This time we made a return trip to Durango, Colorado to ride the narrow gauge railraod there. This was my wife's third time on the train and my fifth. Even so, it's always an enjoyable ride and it makes me feel like a kid again every time I get aboard.
Hey Schlepp, is that rail still going? I thought they shut it down a couple of years back. If they didn't that would be awesome. We took my dad there for his 60th birthday and we all had a blast.

Okay...for a minute there, I was thinking that everything was a photo...I was going to say you really did get a boat load of pictures...
Imagine the trees being pictures...that's what I was wanting to put there.

Well, I did manage to take four memory sticks and three pairs of AA NiMH batteries. And at the end of each day I downloaded everything into the laptop and started sorting the good from the bad and the ugly.
How big were the memory sticks? I know they can range from something like 6mb (comes with the camera) to 4 gb.
If they were all 4 gb sticks, and you filled them all, it truly is a boatload of pictures!

schlepporello wrote:I had a 1 gig stick, 2 - 512 MB sticks, and the stock 36 MB stick. I had my resolution set at it's highest for the video shots (which ate up lots of memory), and set the stills at 1 megapixel - high quality.
There were some clips that didn't make the grade and several still that were just bad. naturally they didn't get put in the video. I kept the 1 gig stick in most of the time because I can shoot up to six minutes of video with it.
NICE!
