Cerveny Advertisement

Post by Liberty Mo »

I have seen this Cerveny add for a few years now. I'm curious if it is staged or if the guy in it is a genuine tuba craftsman. Any ideas who he is or what tuba he is holding?

Yeah, I know it doesn't matter, but its a Friday before a holiday...and things are slow.

I've seen it in the catalogs from WWBW, too, and wondered how he could play with all that beard & moustache

It's slow here today, too.

Hey MO, didn't you sell your 5 valve 2341 in your avatar? I was one of the stupid people scared off by the heavy tarnish when it was on ebay.....

Mike,

I sold my King in March and bought a new Edwards bass bone. I kick myself in the *** for that every day now. I ended up making about $2k from my original investment on ebay, but that was a once in a lifetime tuba....

I'm now looking for a new tuba....there is a great Holton BBb for sale right now :D

My interpretation was that the guy is supposed to be some Eastern European old world craftsman and that he was the one in the process of hand crafting the tuba, hence he had yet to install the paddles???

Total BS, but that was my interpretation.

They used the metal from them for some o' them squeaky lil' horns in the background.

And the question isn't can this guy still play, it's whether or not you want to stand in front of his Harley...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

That's where the hand throttle is!

poseur? I'm thinking this dude probably is one of their techs or assemblers, certainly not from Central Casting. "Find me a scruffy European instrument maker type!"

From the looks of how the valves face, they should be on the back!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Simply further proof that you MUST test a Cerveny before buying it.
