Bellowhead is like some fantastic musical monster risen from the ocean's depths. Fiddle, accordion, bass clarinet, oboe, bagpipes, banjo, drums, and cello sprout from its vast body, like spiky fins. Brass instruments, including a sousaphone and tuba, crown the head of this 11-piece English- and world-roots ensemble.

I have gotten several reports from Canada on how well this group is doing - they were the hit of every festival! They are in Calgary this weekend - apparently they flew in without their Helicon, so the tuba player is using whatever horn is available, exclusively.
