Mistakes I noticed:
1. Nickel lacquer - should have said nickel finish.
2. All mpcs are generally the same size
3. Open length = 13' long
(he's not holding an EEfer)
Tubas are found in various pitches, most commonly in F, E-flat, C, or B-flat. The main tube of a B-flat tuba is approximately 18 feet long, while that of a C tuba is 16 feet, of an E-flat tuba 13 feet, and of an F tuba 12 feet.
4. You can make a tuba shorter by operating a valve?

Well, mouthpieces *are* generally the same size: big. It's all relative...yeah, 28 mm to 33 mm is a big difference to a tuba player. But to someone who knows nothing about the tuba, it's about the same size.
I think he certainly understands how it works, but didn't do a good job at describing it precisely. The whole thing was pretty painful to watch because of that. I'm too lazy to post a video myself, so I can't be *too* hard on the guy. Because he's a trumpet player, I wonder if his trumpet videos are better?

18. Not many Sousaphones have rotary valves, so saying they all have similar parts will be confusing. (In fact he skips piston valves altogether.)
19. At the point on the horn he is mentioning, trumpets also have a "conical bell." (it is the pipes leading up to that point being conical or not that makes the difference.)

At least you can tell this guy has
some working knowledge of the instrument. It's not as bad as another video I found (from "expert village"), wherein a guy describes "The Munsters" theme song as "one of the few tuba solos that's ever existed."

The " expert " with the 20J might want to invest in some valve felts.

You have to wonder why anyone would put item up on the internet on a subject about which they obviously don't know to make themselves look a fool?

2. Didn't demo a sousaphone
3. No beer recommendations
4. No swearing
5. Used the Band Room for taping
6. Never mentioned the Dent Eraser
7. Forgot to alienate everyone playing on B-flat horns
8. Never mentioned lederhosen
9. Snacks/beverages not visible in the shot
Clearly, there's room for improvement.

just found this equally interesting thing:
The Tuba
Widely known as the granddaddy of all brass instruments, the tuba plays the lowest notes. It is so large that whoever plays it must sit down and rest this large musical instrument on his or her knee. The biggest tuba is eight feet high and when uncoiled is nearly forty-five feed long.
The Sousaphone
John Philip Sousa, an American, invented the sousaphone approximately 100 years ago. He wanted to create a low sounding brass instrument for marching bands. The sousaphone does indeed have a very low deep sound. The size of this musical instrument is so large that the player has to carry it looped over their body and resting on their shoulder. Small button valves close and open to make the different sounds.
