Thanks for the link Andy. I found his thoughts on the Symphonie Fantastique particularly interesting, as have concert including it in 10 days time.

I have never heard 'the Ride' played on a Besson E flat before. I have to say I quite liked it.

I love this for many reasons, but most of all for reinforcing something I preach on a daily basis whether working with students or adults: Clarity of articulation, precision of rhthym, and perfect pitch trump volume any day. He is a marvelous player. Who knew that the Ride could sound that good on an EEb. Bravo Patrick, well done!!!
