Dear friends,
I thought you'd enjoy this upload to YouTube, the banjo virtuoso Jimmy Mazzy's and my version of the great Paul Robeson's hit, "Little Pal." In putting together a slide show to go with the excellent MP3 file, I found a picture of my performing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at the Tubarama of one of the Sacramento Dixieland Jubilees in the 1980's. Seated next to me is a young Matt Perrine, on his way to a stellar career on tuba, bass, trombone, composing, and leading bands in New Orleans.
Hoping you'll enjoy the music and the picture,
Eli
