Intel's Intelligent Sounds clip uses two Conn 20J's

Post by sticky_valve »

The link below is to Intel's "Intelligent Sounds" vide created to promote Intel's processeor used in tablets.

The electronic symphony uses two tubas, to be precise 2 Conn 20J tubas. I'm not too tech minded and be warned it appears a little fictional with a robots playing wind instruments, however I still though it was very cool 8)

The film was shot in Sydney Australia, both tubas were acquired and flown from the US specifically for this!! I now own both when they production company decided it could no longer store them an needed to offload them :D

One is 1954 Lady Face the other is 1965 Elkhart, both were in great playing condition and complete with bits. These are pretty rare in my part of the world so it is fun to have both side by side in my music room.

The clip below is the behind the scenes making of the Intelligent Sounds clip.

Cool! I especially like that they used 20Js.

This reminds me of "Animusic" but with real hardware............
