A Holton BBb "standard" with a 3 valve transplant: my 1st "frankentuba" unless you count a detachable adapted conn bell and 1 York brace on the York Master. I am sure this will change more than once before I am done.

Yes, some braces derived from brass piano action washers, one cut down from a York sousa, a pull ring from an ancient Eb on the 1st slide (mounted horizontally favorite mod) and some donor brass from a Bach trumpet bell, made into a ferrule. I put the leadpipe off the bell with one of those brass washers but basically, I slapped a new(er) valve section in there. I dig how it looks, and it sounds pretty nice, too. I can see where going up to a .689 ish bore & having more valves would be nice.
