If that's what happens from drinking Polish Vodka, I'll have to switch to Absolut.

Okay! So some of you plebes seem to trivialize a mature artist and his medium. 'Expressionism' and the 'Avant Garde' are indeed an 'fine art' genre. They deal with rather serious subliminal psychological issues, the release of psychological repression and usually a requirement for a 'dead serious' audience and venue - lest it be ridiculed. It is easy to mock something that is not understood, or even something one might not want to understand. BUT, in that context, I can really appreciate what this artist is performing. Perhaps some of you have the breadth of technique and understanding to pull off something such as this. BUT, I would imagine most of us do not. In my estimation, this is not 'the emperor's new clothes,' but a serious performance communicating rather complex concepts, ideas, and a plethora of diametrically opposed emotions.

I tried getting ahold of the performer/composer, but there was no response back.

In better news, I tried reaching out to Dr. Gary Ziek, the composer of the Concerto for Tuba and Wind Ensemble. He responded back within a day and he answered all my questions about the piece. If you haven't looked it up, you really should! http://youtu.be/K5gb2fLBssw" target="_blank

I know this man very good cause he was my teacher when i was in high school. He's solo performer but he know nothing about playing with orchestra

I know one funny story: When he was younger our The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra needed tubist for replacement and when counductor heared how he's playing he said that will be better if he will go out from concert hall :D

But he's very friendly and nice guy which was one of the best tuba player in the world(read his biography)
I know that he was my profesor but I think that is sick what he's doing with this beautyfull instrument :/

Here u can listen K.Penderecki Capriccio performed by Zdzisław Piernik in 1980

and here is concert from our national radio in Katowice performed this year - HEAR THE POLISH TUBA POWER :)(dont worry thats not virus)
2nd part is better :)
