I've watched the 2014 film version of Annie about a million times with my kids since it came out on DVD a few weeks ago. Some things about the movie are really good, others are better in the 1982 film.
To me, by far the high point of the movie is the performance of "It's a Hard Knock Life." That number was really, really good. And the low brass, to me at least, REALLY sounds nice.
This link gets to the audio if anybody who hasn't seen the movie is interested. Unfortunately this link doesn't show the dancing and choreography, which also are excellent.

Sounds electronic to me... and if it is real playing, I'm not able to hear enough of it to tell. I'm kind of curious now!

I'm not a pro, but it sure sounds to me like a combination of live brass and electronic sounds.

I can hear it now, some of that trumpet stuff sounds real. Good call!Uncle Buck wrote:I'm not a pro, but it sure sounds to me like a combination of live brass and electronic sounds.
