Hello gang - this year Patrick Sheridan commissioned me to write him a new tuba concerto. If you know me from my posting history here you won't be surprised that I incorporated a lot of jazz, funk and bass line playing - at Pat's request! The world premiere took place last Saturday at the U.S. Army Tuba/Euphonium Workshop with the Pershing's Own concert band. They were fantastic and we are all excited about the future of this work. Publication will come later this year in wind ensemble, british-style brass band, and piano versions.
