Wow. That's a big horn.

Really nice playing.

Confirmed, it's a Neptune. Here's another photo of him.

The detachable leadpipe and the the 5th valve lever were the giveaways on the video for me (man that's pathetic of me!).

Romera? He is Spanish... And it seems a little familiar, even if you can't read the engraving.

Beautiful playing and great sound. :tuba: He makes that Neptune sound (to me) a lot like a good Yorkbrunner.

Yeah, it's "only" a 6/4 tuba

It's in Spanish (and the Google translation is pretty rough), but it basically says that Eduardo asked Toni Romera to make a mouthpiece for him, so that's what it is. I'm not sure if this model ever was sold to the public, but I'm sure someone could ask Romera and find out.

Thank you very much for your nice comments, my friends.

I am Eduardo Nogueroles, Composer, Conductor and Teacher of Euphonium and Tuba at the Professional Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). You can see my work at http://www.eduardonogueroles.com" target="_blank or buy some of my tuba works at http://www.potenzamusic.com" target="_blank

Indeed, my tuba is a Neptune 6/4, designed by Mel Culbertson for B & S.

I play Romera mouthpieces designed by me, in three numbers: 6 (F tuba) 8 (Medium CC tuba) and 12 (Big CC tuba). Then can be ordered at Romera.

I leave you a couple of youtube links about my recordings.

A hug from Spain.
Eduardo Nogueroles.
