Is it just me, or does the recording bell horn below look a lot like a King 1291?

It's identical to mine.So, is it a King Monster Bass on a German site or did they actually copy one? Meinl Weston did copy (sort of) the C.

My horn has the ring on the second valve and the rotors are not slanted. I believe the earlier ones were that way and the angle the straight up and down valves were very uncomfortable to my wrist. And I play it with the second slide pulled quite a way out so I'm thinking that the nub things instead of a ring allowed for more convenient and longer if nessasary. Being handmade at the rate of one a month there are probably lots of variances. I, and the people I work with really like the way mine sounds. Really interesting horns. Ed
