How not to mic a tuba
Listen at 8:59-9:04. The tubas should be the most prominent voice heard but I don't hear them? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIK2PyZtqu8" target="_blank" target="_blank

Re: How not to mic a tuba
Geez - in general this is a pretty ho-hum performance.
The first "Dies Irae" sounds like a contrabassoon solo. I can't imagine getting "the hand" at measure 80, but that's what it sounds like...
Oh, well... big-time orchestra, famous conductor with well-styled hair and a sexy accent... must be good. I'll bet the second clarinet would like a few notes back.
