How not to mic a tuba

Listen at 8:59-9:04. The tubas should be the most prominent voice heard but I don't hear them? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIK2PyZtqu8" target="_blank

1. Is that an English orchestra?
2. Are they playing compensating Eb tubas?
3. If "yes", are their very mellow-sounding 19" bells pointing towards the back or side of the shell?

Geez - in general this is a pretty ho-hum performance.
The first "Dies Irae" sounds like a contrabassoon solo. I can't imagine getting "the hand" at measure 80, but that's what it sounds like...
Oh, well... big-time orchestra, famous conductor with well-styled hair and a sexy accent... must be good. I'll bet the second clarinet would like a few notes back.
sorry, I don't do signatures.

This performance is much better IMHO:

Miraphone 5050 - Warburton (Brandon Jones)
YEP-641S (on long-term loan to grandson)
DE mpc (102 rim; I-cup; I-9 shank)
