French horn TMEA all-state etudes

Postby bloke » Sat Sep 16, 2017 9:13 pm

My son-in-law puts these up each year, to elevate the level of high school horn competition in Texas, and to promote the family's Texas-based business.

His left hand (a month ago) picked up a horrible infection...He could have lost his hand. He has months of painful rehab ahead, but great hope for regaining full use is there. (He's missing this year's European tour.)
Say a prayer (or whatever you do) for him. He can use positive vibes.
As you'll hear, he ain't a bad horn player. If you actually have a horn-playing kid in Texas, they should already be watching these. I linked one, there are three of them...covering all three Texas all-state etudes.

Joe, it's small wonder your son in law is a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony. This man plays very well, indeed. You must be proud to have him in your family. Thanks for posting the video. I hope his infection clears up really soon.

Thnx for the positive thoughts for our family !
The healing and rehab stage is to where things have currently progressed.
It's going to be really tough, and/but the plan is to return to the orchestra in October.

I can honestly say that your son in law is one of the most greatest players I have ever heard. I hope he is feeling better now!
