Looks like you had fun. How long did it take to get the arti-snow out of your horn? I take it the conductor bought the privilege at an auction?

I had one of my Christmas concerts this afternoon. It went OK. "The Nutcracker" and a "selection of holiday hits". I have three more in the next two weeks.

Mostly, the snow hit the strings.
Today, I played the one (large church) that I semi-annually play (yuletide & Palm Sunday - really great pick-up orchestra and outstanding trombones) which is always eclectic...
Today, it ranged from Bach (Magnificat) to Puccini to traditional carols - to Amy Grant to something that sounded like Poke Salad Annie (a folder of c. two doz. charts).

Did one last night down at the Devil's Crossroads (Clarksdale, MS)...excellent community college choir (annual orchestra gig, and great famous local food). The community college choir director (cleverly: recruiting) also invites a couple of high school choirs to perform each year in the concert.

This was my dinner (chicken livers & spaghetti) at Ramon's:
