No Sousaphone?

Here's an entertaining video of police relations with the public they serve. I think their work would have been even better had they added a Sousaphone to the mix.

Mariachi bands don't usually have a tuba. Despite this, I like them a lot!

No. No sousaphone. That is "banda" music, a mash-up of mariachi and big band. The proper bass instrument for mariachi is the guitarron.

Yup, Mariachi is all strings + Trumpets + sometimes an accordion.
Banda would be what you're looking for.

If anyone's familiar with Polka/Oompa Music,
How are multiple Tubas incorporated in the music?
Do they just bounce between the 1st & 5 degree, each taking on a chord for each of the notes making up the Triad?

E-B?
G-D?
