If you believe this to be true, it is unlikely you have ever tried to play golf. Hitting the ball may not be particularly difficult, but hitting it to where you wish it to go is another thing, altogether.windshieldbug wrote: At least in baseball, the ball is moving, making it harder to hit. Wouldn't it just be easier just to throw that little ball instead of trying to club it?TubaRay wrote:If you believe this to be true, it is unlikely you have ever tried to play golf. Have you ever just tried ASKING IT, POLITELY INSTEAD OF ASSAULTING IT!?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Tooth Gong Show
Tooth, root canal and post removed two weeks ago. May be able to begin playing this week, however not a certainty. Painkillers do the job however leave you feeling like a wet towel as they work and wear off. Final concert for one band on Saturday, May 3rd. Cancelled an out of town gig that follows the day after the above concert. Will I make it? Who knows? Lucky to have one of the best players in the city as my stand partner!

Nice video. Only three complaints.jonesmj wrote:Famous Movie Phrases...mark

1. I'd like it a lot better without the "soundtrack" that doesn't really match the movie clips.
2. I was especially bothered by the use of The Magnificent Seven soundtrack when the video didn't include any line from that movie.
3. I couldn't understand why "Coach stays!" from Hoosiers wasn't included.

Re: Update Update
I am in the South - I think. Louisiana is a long way SE from Seattle. But the hotel menu says nothing about grits. Doesn't add up.

Re: Update Update
You should be able to find grits on the menu within 1000 ft of where you are standing anywhere in Louisiana. Something is seriously wrong here. Walk outside and yell, "I want grits!" and see what happens. On second thought you better not use your normal Seattle voice. Try it in a Southern drawl, "Ah wants me some grits!"

There's grits, after all. They just don't see the need to mention it. Now enjoying some Community Coffee.

Yeah but not like Texas. They advertise it.bloke wrote:Each state within, I'd say, is unique.

Re: Update Update
Living in Nevada, this is pretty big news. I have no opinion on the matter, but if any of you think about making this guy a hero, read this and think again. How odd.

Re: Update Update
Well... don't expect good grits at Cracker Barrel. ... not around the Mid-west, anyway! Runny and nasty.

I would surmise that somewhere there may be some one who considers him a hero, but I would also think most everyone would consider him really stupid.

Re: Update Update
You all are getting *mighty* close to politics here.
Back to the general updates...
I've decided to go to the University of Minnesota for grad school. I don't have to be on-campus right away, so I'll be staying in NY at least through the end of 2014, maybe a little longer than that.
