I have coffee now, but in about two hours, I hope to put a significant dent in a liter of Glenlivet. Maybe a cube of ice and a very small splash of water to go with it.

I've heard good things about Jameson Irish Whiskey so I picked up a bottle this afternoon along with some other booze for a band Christmas party tomorrow night. I just sampled it. This is some good stuff! To me... it has a sweet, salty aftertaste. A nice big glass of it might be good with a tub of popcorn but I'll give that a try some other time.

After a couple of shots of the Jameson, I tried a bit of my old standard Glenfiddish and Glenlevit. I think the Jameson may have won out. Hat's off you Irish folks! Good booze!

Of course I like it straight. Why put other stuff in with good whiskey?! :tuba: :tuba:

Jameson's is a lovely Irish Whiskey, one of my favorites. If I may suggest, try some Tullamore Dew (neat with ice water back), a smoky initial "hit" with a sweet back bite. A bottle will last me two years as it is a special occasion drink. Enjoy.

Oh yeah, in keeping with the "spirit" of the post: Hazel Nut Coffee from Hawaii with Vanilla creamer. I'll drink the pot!

Well... after last Tuesday's party... me having a couple of 'sips' over the last few days... and the beginning preparations last night of 'The Roast Beast' for today's celebration.... the Jameson's is about gone. There are a few other 'interesting' things to try today beginning with a set of Sheridan's Creme and Coffee Liquor. It IS a little past Noon here. Maybe it's time to head for the kitchen to see if I can entice the cooks a bit! :) :tuba:
