Was up all last night with diarrhea and vomiting, but still had to go to work.

just bought the new Sam Adams Brewmaster's collectin for Spring. Haven't had a chance to sample them yet. Includes Boston Lager, Black Lager, Alpine Spring, Mighty Oak Ale, Irish Red and Whitewater IPA, can't wait!

It's more bitter melon tea for me, at this very moment, but the alcohol currently interfering with my central nervous system is from Ficklin Tawny Port, and before that a pint of Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout, both products of sunny California that I recommend most heartily. Port is naturally a sweet wine, but I didn't find this one syrupy or cloying, rather well balanced.

Right now I am drinking a fizzy vitamin C drink, but later I will be drinking a dry Hendrick's Martini or a sidecar: 2 brandy, 3/4 triple sec 3/4 lime, 3 drops orange bitters.

Hm, prices on the brandy shelf have so far discouraged experimentation, but I might try this sidecar recipe with pisco, which is after all a type of brandy.
