Although we get some pretty rough weather here... we don't get very much snow. When we do get an inch or so of snow/ice.... the locals have contests to see how much stuff they can tear up! The mere mention of snow by a weathercaster causes all of the milk and bread to 'fly off the shelf' at the markets.

I've started to take an interest in the "Comments" sections at the bottom of news stories on the internet (like CNN and sites like that).
A single story can get hundreds or thousands of comments really quickly. Some people try to respond to other people's comments. Some people write a LOT. Some people actually have good points, but most are idiots. What an enormous amount of time people are wasting on this.
