I find it fascinating that the more "religious" a person's viewpoint, the more vociforously they defend it, and also make assumptions about other people's motivations and beliefs, when none have been stated.
I didn't keep the details of the URL to the article, but according to one "study", about 50% of "man-made" global warming is from the methane produced by farm animals raised to satisfy us meat eaters. If I recall correctly, the article stated that methane has 33 times the greenhouse effect of CO2. So, put away that barbeque pardner, yer killin' the planet.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The U.S. Northeast, the world's biggest heating oil market, is experiencing its warmest December 3 in more than a decade, according to weather forecasters.
DTN Meteorlogix said the mercury in New York City, the biggest population center in the Northeast, would reach 61 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius), well above a normal high of 48 degrees F for this time of year.
The record high for December 3 in New York was set at 69 degrees in 1998, according to forecaster AccuWeatehr.com. Last year the high temperature on this day was just 42 degrees.
In November, New York temperatures were warmer than normal on all but five days early in the month, producing much fewer heating degree days than normal, according to AccuWeather.
Consumers in the Northeast use less energy to heat their homes and businesses when temperatures are above normal during the cold winter and autumn months.
But New Yorkers should not get used to this balmy weather.
AccuWeather.com cautioned that it could be cold enough to snow this weekend from New York to Washington, DC, when a storm system in the Gulf of Mexico makes its way toward the East Coast.
Several inches of snow are possible from the Virginia mountains to New York City on Saturday.

Thousands of physicists, biologists, climatologists, paleobotanists, zoologists, archaeologists, and chemists working together to manufacture data over 30 years in a vast conspiracy to...what? Increase their funding by 10%? Yeah right.
Oh, and B. Hussein Obama kicks puppies for relaxation.

For some reason you find it hard to believe that tax-funded "science guys" can be CORRUPTED by the agendae of those who fund them?
THE purpose of the hoax is to have created yet one more leg of the whole world-socialist "New World Order" scheme...Is this not completely transparent to all of those EXCEPT those who worship at the altar of Marx?
Br'er Hussein probably doesn't kick too many puppies...He just kicks (with steel-toed jackboots) the U.S. Constitution and American citizens (just as did Br'er W, Br'er Blythe, Br'er Herbert-Walker, Br'er Milhous, Br'er Earl, and certainly Br'er Delano).
bloke "who noticed that (now that the hoax has been completely and irrefutably unveiled) Al Gore has canceled his trip to Copenhagen...' sorry Klaus! "
Do you really believe that scientists, ACROSS THE GLOBE FOR OVER 30 YEARS, have been involved in some conspiratorial research in order to put one over on the REST OF THE PLANET so as to drive the world into a one-world socialist government?
I notice that you've referenced the New World Order in your response. Do you buy into the idea of the Amero as well? Chemical spraying from high-altitude airplanes as a means of population control? Ancient works of art buried beneath the island of Manhattan by our founding fathers?

I believe that you and I could enjoy each others' company while fishing for largemouth bass and smoking ribs in my propane-powered smoker. The offer stands: if you ever find yourself in southwest Montana, you've got an invitation to come by, fish for trout, shoot some guns, and eat some pork ribs.
You guys can bicker all you want about global warming, Coming home tonight after a northern sort-of-dixie gig it was freaking -4 F below already. I grew up here, and I still hate this transition to the winter cold. Stay warm, the mid central, is going to get there butt's kicked with snow. We're to cold right now for heavy snow. Good Day.
HI-
I could use some 'global warming' here in the 'snow-belt' of Western New York--last night coming out of a gig, we had 65 MPH winds and an ice storm--this morning we have 18" of snow, 40MPH winds, and much more LES (Lake Effect Snow) coming....maybe I should pull the gas grill out and have a cook out..ugh...

...an iceberg [this] size...had not been seen so far north since the days when 19th century clipper ships plied the trade route between Britain and Australia.
Dr. Young from the article wrote:
...sightings of large icebergs could become more frequent if sea temperatures rise through global warming.
I'm impressed! Quoting from an article that mentions the potential impacts of global warming on the Antarctic ice shelf is real growth!
Supposed to be up to 2 feet(!) of snow in Baltimore before the end of the weekend. That's always a lot of snow, but boy, in that city even a few inches screws things up.
I'm in NYC now, and unless it snows underground, I'll get around just fine. Kind of disappointing, I like when everything stops for a day or two for the snow!
It got down into the low teens in Nashville last night. Light snow here this morning. Both are almost unheard of here. There is ice on the inside of my windows; the heater in this POS apartment can barely keep up. I can't wait to see the elec bill at the end of the month
Yeah, lucky we have our tuba bulletin board, where we can find out the truth, and not be bullied by all those self-professed experts who think they can tell us what to think just because they've spent their lives studying it and know all kind of useless facts.
