Finale Help Question

Post by Sandlapper »

I have Finale 2012 and can no longer access help via the web. I wondered if this is because of the new antivirus software I've installed (Avast Free) or is it because they are no longer supporting 2012 since they have a new version out. Has anyone else had a problem with the web based help? What worked for you?

Thanks

I just checked my Finale 2012. The web-based help is working as it should.

Mine's working too. Maybe try posting the URL for the help page into another browser and see if that helps?

maybe the help uses pop-ups, and you have pop-ups blocked ?

Would you believe the culprit was the antivirus. I had installed a new antivirus a few weeks or so ago and it was not until after going back to the old antivirus program did the help feature start working again. I will say that Make Music was responsive to my post for customer support. Shame, I really liked the way the new one blocked a lot of these pop up adds.

Thanks so much for the feedback.

I've been using avast! (Free) for years and haven't had any trouble. Sometimes I have to tell avast "this site is okay" for my PC to connect to some sites.
