Hi,

Plugging in a microphone will usually always override the iPhone's microphone. Not sure when it wouldn't. Have used mics with mine.

Depends on the tuning app, but I imagine they rely on the iPhone to automatically map that out. Some can be weird, for some reason Tunable won't play over bluetooth.

Go to NewEgg to look for adaptors.
