Congratulations to Derek Fenstermacher as well! For those of you who don't know Derek he was also the runner-up for the last Honolulu audition. Keep an eye on this graduating senior from Alabama (studying with Demondrae); he's going places!

Good player. His senior recital (last week) was very entertaining.

Congratulations to Matt Lyon, a great tuba player and a great friend. I will never forget this guy who would ALWAYS push me to persevere, especially during auditions where he advanced when I didn't. I really appreciated the fact he was concerned about the guys who didn't win the job despite focusing on his dreams and his goals. Again Matt, congratulations. Your talent, hard work, and desire will reward you more great things in the future. Never give up:).
