Hello,
There is still room for high school aged tuba and euphonium student at the Performing Arts Institute in Kingston, PA. This is a very good festival that offers orchestra, wind ensemble, chamber music, jazz band & combos, musical theater, choirs, theory, and recital opportunities. Traditionally the tuba studio has been very competitive to get into and has always been one of the dominating studios at the festival. I typically devote extra time to my students in the way of sectionals, coachings, masterclasses, tuba and euphonium ensemble, and additional lessons (each student takes at least two lessons a week with me).
The festival runs from June 28th- August 8th 2009 and is available in three or six week sessions.
Need based financial aid and merit based scholarship/ assistance is available for qualified applicants. For more information PM me off of the board or visit the PAI website at: http://wyomingseminary.org/pai/index.htm" target="_blank

Re: PAI (Kingston, PA)
Bump for PAI. I went there the summer of my junior going into senior year of high school. The teachers, ensembles, and other fellow musicians were great. Defintley worth going to. Mike and the other teachers gave me great insight and guidence to what colleges to look look at and how to prepare and get ready for auditions. Mike is a great teacher and friend and is worth more then the amount of money you pay to attend the camp. Also as a musician you will be able to play in all genres of music. I persoanlly got to play in the wind ensemble, the orchestra and jazz band along with playing a solo. I cant stresss enough, its a great music program with a great falculty.
