Performing Arts Institute

Post by tubabike »

There are two openings for euphonium this coming summer at the Performing Arts Institute of the Wyoming Seminary. The Tuba and Euphonium studio at PAI has traditionally been highly competitive. In addition to courses in theory, history, piano, and conducting, euphonium students will play in the Wind Ensemble, solo recitals, brass chamber ensembles, tuba and euphonium ensemble, and possibly jazz combos. I give a daily studio class Monday through Friday and offer two studio lessons per week. Students in the PAI Studio do receive a lot of exposure to both myself and other members of the faculty, at times I also play tuba or euphonium alongside students in the wind ensemble.

PAI is Scheduled for June 27th- August 10th 2010 and is located on the campus of the Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Students have the option of attending the full six weeks or in 3 week sessions. This is an internationally acclaimed program and we have students from all over the United States, and China. Boarding students stay on campus in the dormitory with dining hall access.

More information about the program can be found at:
