If you are interested in studying at the graduate level, MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University) has openings for tuba players. We offer the Master of Arts degree in Performance, Conducting, Jazz Studies, Music Composition, Music Composition for Contemporary Media, Music Education, & Musicology.
Graduate Assistantships are available for 2013-14. Full assistantships are valued at $25,000, cover tuition and include a $6500 stipend. Half assistantships are also available. Duties typically include work in the brass/band area and/or other duties (Music Theory, Music History, Introduction to Music, etc.) based on your strengths. Funding is also available for International students!
MTSU is located in Murfreesboro, TN, which is about a forty-minute drive to downtown Nashville. This is my first year at MTSU and the university’s incredible students and fantastic faculty already impress me!
