Re: Chicago Brass Band in need of an Eb Bass Player
I played Eb with CBB for a season before I left town, and I enjoyed myself immensely. A fine ensemble full of great folks playing some of the most challenging ensemble repertoire I've come across. Kevin and the rest of the tuba section are particularly great guys, and I'd encourage anyone in the Chicagoland area to sit in for a rehearsal and consider joining the band as either a regular member or sub. Wish I were still around to take part!

Re: Chicago Brass Band in need of an Eb Bass Player
I will second Adam's plug. I played with the Chicago Brass Band all of last year and it was an absolute blast. If you are in need of a great ensemble experience that will challenge your technique and musicality, all the while giving you great performance experience all around Chicago, the CBB is where it's at. The band looks after and makes welcome all members and subs. The other tubas really are a fine group of people. I was really glad that I was able to visit one of their rehearsals between returning from basic training and moving out to Virginia to see those guys again.
Seriously not something you would regret!
