The repertoire for an aspiring tubist is pretty impressive. Repertoire for the student orchestras will include Mahler 5, Frank D Minor, Rite of Spring, Till Eulenspiegel, La Mer and Shostakovich 5.
I've changed the audition repertoire slightly this year:
One solo/movement demonstrating both lyrical and technical styles
And the following excerpts:
Berlioz: Hungarian March
Mahler: Symphony No. 1
Prokofiev: Symphony No. 5
Respighi: Fountains of Rome
Wagner: Die Meistersinger
Wagner: Die Walküre
