Teaching Method Books/Resources

Post by martin.stoner »

Hello! I was wondering if any one had a few resources or guiding words for me.

In the near future I will be assisting me high schools brass section for the marching band season until I head off to college. I have next to no teaching experience other than what I've learned from observing and making my way through playing the last 4 years. I know that I can be of help to the marching band with what I have now but I'd really like to get some solid information on teaching a brass section to preform well. I want to be able to help the Seniors just as much as the Freshmen. Anything will help!

Thanks

Mountain Peak Music's "Teaching Brass" hybrid text would be very helpful. Lots of information, instruction videos, etc. specifically for teaching brass students from beginning to advanced.
