Teupha is an Austin-based tuba/euphonium organization that hosts events for high school and young college musicians. Now in our 14th year, our camps and programs continue to draw over 150-200 students annually from across Texas and beyond.
We’re excited to announce the 2026 Teupha Rising Artist Competition, designed to complement the world-renowned Falcone Festival and create more opportunities for young tuba and euphonium players. The competition features three divisions: Solo Tuba, Solo Euphonium, and Small Ensemble.
The competition is open to students born on or after September 1, 2006. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors - Denton Big Brass, Miraphone, and Professor Mouthpiece - we’re offering cash prizes of $700, $300, and $100 for medalists in each division.
Tuba & Euphonium Solo Divisions: Repertoire is a streamlined version of the Falcone Festival’s young artist list.
Small Ensemble Division: Groups of 3-6 tuba/euphonium players may perform repertoire of their choice. At least half of the members must meet the age eligibility, but older students may participate as long as the majority of the group qualifies.
*Preliminary recordings for all divisions are due February 28, 2026.
