Come Study at Kent State!

Post by Eric »

Hey Tuba Community!

Happy prelude to college audition season! Kent State is looking for tuba and euphonium players for either Spring or Fall 2023 entry and has scholarships available! Located in lovely Kent, Ohio, we can give you a great small school experience on a campus that has around 20,000 students on it! Along with that, you can be close to plenty of orchestras and bands with us being close to Akron, Erie, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and many more!

At KSU, we offer a B.A in Music as well as Jazz Studies, B.M's in Music Education, Performance, and Composition as well as multiple master's degrees. Our music program in the Glauser School of Music is coming back to form post-pandemic, but we would love some tubas and euphoniums to help bring the bass and learn from Dr. Kenneth Heinlein (https://www.kenheinlein.com) and Prof. David Mitchell (https://www.kent.edu/music/david-mitchell).

We have scholarships available through the Glauser School of Music and the university. We offer free sample lessons both live and virtually! If you want to get anything set up or have any questions, shoot me an email at eblack11@kent.edu! :tuba:
