University of Georgia - Graduate Teaching Assistantship

Post by mshipes »

Hi Everyone!

I am excited to announce that I will have a teaching assistantship available for a new graduate tuba performance major starting Fall 2023!

This position includes a full tuition-waiver and 10-month stipend in the amount of $11,785 (MM) or $12,535 (DMA) per academic year

In addition to working with the tuba/euphonium studio, the person in this position will perform with our graduate brass quintet, the Bulldog Brass Society, coached by Phil Smith(!!), coach undergraduate brass chamber ensembles, and perform in large ensembles in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music.

I am accepting prescreening materials immediately since we are already past the December 1 soft deadline. Visit our admissions page for more information:

https://music.uga.edu/graduate-admissions-overview

Our audition dates are January 21 and 30, 2023 and will be held in-person and on zoom as needed.

This is a great opportunity to earn a variety of experiences here at UGA, please share with anyone you think might be interested! I look forward to hearing from you!

Feel free to reach out at mtshipes@uga.edu if you have any questions!
