Take it from me, it'll still be a while. Prelim judging sometimes requires the recordings be sent to judges quite literally all over the world. Depending on what competition you've entered the panel may be in one place or not.

Well, the website does say around today that results will be posted, but since the deadline was pushed back another two weeks, I'd say it could be anytime from today all the way to the 31st. However, I HOPE it doesn't take that long, especially since the date the results were to be announced was never changed and still says today. Suspense kills. :P

Also, the early registration date has been extended to April 15th for people attending the whole conference. That's probably to accomodate the late competition announcements.

Just found this on the ITEC website. Thought some might find it interesting...
"Due to the extension of the submission deadline for the preliminary round,
semifinalists for the ITEC 2006 Competitions will be announced and notified
on this website and by email on or around April 8, 2006."
THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!

ITEC semi-finalists have been emailed, at least for the euphonium artist solo competition and euphonium mock audition. It says tuba artist will be another few days.

All the emails notifiying the semi-finalists stated that they would post a list of all semi-finalists on the website soon. Nothing up yet, but since it seems all categories have been announced, I suspect they will update the website.

Quintet

Spoke to Professor Young today and he told me there will be NO quintet competition. There were only 3 groups that applied, so they didn't feel it was worth having the competition. Bummer!

Has anyone heard anything yet? It is April 8, 2006 today, right?
Just curious as to what other folks are hearing out there.

Semi-finalists for these competitions have been emailed:
Tuba Artist Solo
Euphonium Artist Solo
Tuba Mock Audition
Euphonium Mock Audition
Tuba Quartet

...that I know of. Not sure about any other competitions.

People who didn't advance don't seem to be receiving notification, so I hope they post a list on the website soon, if for no other reason, to inform the non-semi-finalists who don't read the TubeNet.

Jazz competition semifinalists were e-mailed on Thursday. There was no list of names other than the e-mail addresses so I don't know anyone else's name.
