Position with Midland-Odessa Symphony/Lone Star Brass

Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale
Vacancy beginning 2006-2007 Season
Principal Tuba/Lone Star Brass
This position includes performing as Principal Tuba with the Midland-Odessa Symphony, tuba for the Lone Star Brass and private lesson teacher for Midland County and Ector County Independent School Districts. Other teaching opportunities at area colleges may be available.
Total Income: $25,000 - $30,000 for a ten-month season (August–May)
Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a degree in Tuba Performance or Music Education.

I'm a little unfamiliar with that terminology. Does that mean you get a bye to the "finals" of the audition? Or is it like being named alternate to something? Did you find out you were on the list just from talking to him, or did they notify you some other way as well?cc_tuba_guy wrote:finals list
