It sounds like the symphony might try to hold the live audition in early May. I may be wrong on this but it is my impression. If people want to be considered for an invite, it would probably be wise to submit tapes and resumes very soon.

Hey there. I talked to someone from the symphony office and he said to get the resume and a recording in as soon a possible. They told me that the auditions would be in early May. Hope this helps.

The symphony has invited six of us to Midland to audition. The official invites went out today - fast turnaround - the audition is in 3 weeks!

Good luck to the others.

I'm a little unfamiliar with that terminology. Does that mean you get a bye to the "finals" of the audition? Or is it like being named alternate to something? Did you find out you were on the list just from talking to him, or did they notify you some other way as well?

Also, did the manager tell you how many total tapes were sent in? Just curious.

Best of luck!

It sounds like ten people are auditioning.

Just to set the record straight and remove speculation. To my knowledge, there are five applicants that are going to be at the live audition and those people have been contacted. I hope this removes the confusion.
