Brian Dobbins is the tuba/euphonium teacher at OU. I am studying under him next year for my master's degree.

Wow, Congrats Mike!!! East Carolina is going to be another major tuba/euph school. They are very lucky to have you.

Is Illinois State going to do a national search?

I think that David Daussat has been teaching at UT-Martin during the 2005-2006 school year.

My friend Eileen Russell got the gig at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. She was the trombone/euphonium prof. at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi.

Congratulations, Eileen!

Montana State is filled by Patrick Carrie (sp?), recent graduate of Oregon. I don't know if he is a tuba picker or not. In fact, I know nothing about a lot of stuff

I believe Dr. Pedro Martinez kept the UT-Pan American job. That was a heck of a job description - Low Brass/Salsa Band/Jazz Band/ and Brass Ensembles. Talk about a teaching load!

I'm very happy to post that Brian Meixner got the job at Slippery Rock. He will be sorely missed around here!

That's Awesome! What degree was Brian working on at UNT? It's great to hear when a quality euphonium player lands a college gig. I think far too many search committees don't give them a chance.

Add: Delaware State University

Assistant/Associate Professor of Music in Theory/Brass/Piano Tenure Track

It doesn't say anything about piano teaching though...

The Otterbein situation has been divided. Gary and I will continue to teach tuba, Scott Heath is teaching euphonium, and they've hired Margaret Underwood as the new band director. It looks as thought the tuba position will be adjunct for the forseeable future.
