Oh don't be ridiculous!!!

Everyone knows that cinnamon Pop Tarts are better iced. You eat the edge off all the way around, then attack the frosted center. I heard that George Curran likes them this way, too.

Now, a really FOUL Pop Tart is the Strawberry Milkshake flavor. Like eating a Pepto Bismol tart.

No way. You take the plain brown sugar/cinnamon right out of the toaster and spread just a bit of butter on top. Fattening??
Yes!! Delicious?? Yes!!! :)

Uh...no. You take frosted cinnamon right out of the toaster, and spread a generous amount of butter on the bottom.

Fattening?? Yes!! Delicious?? Even more so!!

I'll bet Elvis would have done this if he ran out of bananas.

Ever try Reese's cereal with chocolate milk?

Pop tarts have gelatin in them (ground up bones and hooves of animals) and I don't eat that (vegitarian)

I can only eat chocolate pop tarts. I hate the regular kind.. I think it's because I ate SO many when I was younger that I got sick of them.

Have you been to the Georgia Pig, just off of I-95, exit 20-something? Excellent pulled pork, and a posted warning that you may be killed (they're not kidding) if you try to take a picture inside the building. Can't beat that! And their obligatory cartoon pig is playing the fiddle!

a couple of my favorites are:
"Where the Ribs Are"....Loganville,GA (tiny little place)
Fresh Air BBQ......near Athens. The UGA studio goes there all the time.
Can't remember the name but it's in Loganville,GA at the corner of Monroe Youth Rd and Highway 81 next to the BP gas station.

Basically, for me, I stay to the north part of Georgia and will try anything which looks "local". It's hard to go wrong that way.

and I'm really from JERSEY!

It's funny,
STRIKE ONE vegetarian
STRIKE TWO non- drinker
and I'm a non-violent Buddhist, hmmm....... if that's not strike three, I'm at least holding the bat upside down, with my helmet on backwards facing the wrong direction!

My favorite resturant down here is Cafe Sunflower. I have brought non-veg friends there and they LOVE IT!

Forgiven. Try "The Grit" next time you're in Athens. It's on Baxter just west of downtown and really good.

BBQ in Birmingham:

Dreamland, of course. The best ribs, and NO FARTING. Went there once after an orchestra matinee and my suit smelled like hardwood smoke the rest of the week.

The Golden Rule...best chopped pork sandwich, and excellent slaw. Good fried fruit pies, too.

Jim n Nicks...fancier place, excellent pork and ho-made smoked sausage.

BBQ pickin's are slimmer here in Ft. Lauderdale. Thank goodness for The Dixie Pig...Eastern North Carolina style chopped pork with authentic vinegar-based sauce.

None of that lame Texas beef brisket wanna-be "BBQ" for me, Derek.

pork+woodsmoke=BBQ. Period.

I think George Curran prefers pork, too.

Look for Porkfest I at Brevard Music Center this summer.

My favorite barbecue joint in Georgia is Choo-Choo barbecue on I-95 near Brunswick. Great pulled pork and the Brunswick stew is killer!!!

Favorite in Texas is Joel's on I-10, about halfway between Houston and San Antonio.

And I gotta give a shout-out to my hometown favorite in Virginia...Short Sugar's in Danville.
