18 in the first round: repertoire Three Miniatures by Anthony Plog, and Tussock Hill Quarry by Atso Almila

On July 22nd contestants played in the following order:

The second round rpertoire was Trygve Madsen Sonata for Tuba and PIano, Remembrance by John Stevens, and Amorous Play by Lasse Eerola.
The order for the second round on the 24th of July:
Hirthe Dirk (b. 1984, Germany)
Jamsa Miika (b. 1979, Finland)
Serfel Gabor (b. 1984 Hungary)
van Echelpoel Bernd (b. 1983, Belgium)
Penz Christian (b. 1981, Austria)
Osinski Bruno (b.1985, France)
Finni Simo (b. 1977, Finland)
Fujita Hidehiro (b. 1977, Japan)

The finals repertoire was Landskap by Torbjorn Iwan Lundquist accompanied by the St. Michel Strings conducted by Yurri Nitta. The finalists performed in the following order:
Miika Jamsa
van Echelpoel Bernd
Osinski Bruno

1st prize = 5000 Euro - Bernd von Echelpoel
2nd prize= 3000 Euro - Miika Jamsa
3rd prize = 2000 Euros - Bruno Osinski
