I think the correct spelling is juilliard. ...if you do tryout and the judges( Fedderly, Joel Alessi...etc.)...
I think the correct spelling is Joe.

unless someone is kicked out of the studio or wins an audition there will not be any opennings for fall 2007. this year they have a new masters student, a freshman, and a junior. better spell juIlliard right on the application.

Openings at Juilliard

Post by David Fedderly »

Hi all,

I noticed the thread about openings at Juilliard for fall of 2007. I just found out last Monday that there will indeed be ONE opening. So yes there will be tuba auditions early 2007. The school has decided to have 4 students in the studio next year. At present Mike Roest is a first year grad, Fritz Kranz is a junior and James Rivera is a freshman.

I will look forward to seeing and hearing many of you. If you have questions feel free to e-mail me at bbctuba@aol.com

Best of luck!

I think the correct spelling is juilliard. The tuba studio at juillard is pretty as of this year so the answer to that question is
if you are going to bug someone about their spelling you cant spell the word wrong too!

((nota bene, the following post is a facetious joke, please, don't be hatin'))

I feel that just goes to support my hypoyhesis that Julliard doesn't actually exist. All julliard is is some bulidings in manhatten, all pretty to look like a nice school. Lots of people apply, and no one actually gets in. (If any one tells you they go to Julliard or even got accepted by Julliard, they are lying, they actually just live in Manhatten and happen to gig enough to get by) Julliard is nothing but a few guys who write rejection letters and collect application fees.

I know a Juilliard alum who sells used cars for a living. Hell of a clarinet player though....

Also, my guess is that at least 95% of people from XXX-school also go on to do other things.....

Hey...

I love the school spirit and all, but, um.....sour grapes?!?!??

If given the chance to go to Juilliard to finish my masters I'd run there. Naked. And believe me, no one wants that.

I am EXTREMELY happy where I am, but if I could add Juilliard to my CV I would be alright with that.
