I thought Mike Forbes was just starting this Fall at East Carolina. Am I mixing up East Carolina with some other school?

Drake is Grady McGrannahan. He's a terrific Bass trombonist and was the director of a great High School Band. I believe he is currently finishing up a DMA at Florida State.

Does anybody know what the deal is at Delaware State? Is someone there now and getting re-appointed, or is it a vacancy?

Any info would be great!

Thanks,

The NE St. gig in Talequah, OK might not be a bad gig. Director of Bands/Low Brass instructor. Talequah is in (obviously) NE Oklahoma. It's a very nice area of rolling hills and easy access to Tulsa.

I am convinced that 90% of the problems with rhythm, tone, intonation, articulation, technique, and overall prowess on the horn are related to air issues.

I hope he can survive the change in weather.

Yet another Richard Murrow student starts a career; congratulations, Zach!

I live and teach not too far from Talequah. I agree that it could be a decent gig. There is tons of potential there.

Awww. That's too bad. That's surprising considering Auburn is such a large school.

Looks like Joanna Hersey will be the new low brass instructor at University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

She's a former Coast Guard Band tubist, has been teaching at "The Hartt School" in Hartford and still plays with Alchemy, the tuba quartet.

Congrats Joanna!
