The NE St. gig in Talequah, OK might not be a bad gig. Director of Bands/Low Brass instructor. Talequah is in (obviously) NE Oklahoma. It's a very nice area of rolling hills and easy access to Tulsa.Gorilla Tuba wrote:Here are 2 postings for low brass jobs:

I am convinced that 90% of the problems with rhythm, tone, intonation, articulation, technique, and overall prowess on the horn are related to air issues.

I live and teach not too far from Talequah. I agree that it could be a decent gig. There is tons of potential there.MileMarkerZero wrote:The NE St. gig in Talequah, OK might not be a bad gig. Looks like Joanna Hersey will be the new low brass instructor at University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
She's a former Coast Guard Band tubist, has been teaching at "The Hartt School" in Hartford and still plays with Alchemy, the tuba quartet.
Congrats Joanna!
